Expand your knowledge of Spanish to A1 level. In this course you will learn to talk about family, preferences and everyday situations. You will practice practical conversations and work toward language level A1.
About the Spanish 2 course
Do you already have a basic knowledge of Spanish and want to communicate with more confidence? In this course, you’ll further expand your vocabulary and conversational skills through practical topics such as family, daily routines, food, and your surroundings. You’ll practice with everyday situations like ordering something, asking for directions, and talking about your day. This way, you’ll learn Spanish that you can use right away in daily life, while traveling, or at work.
In 9 Spanish lessons:
- you talk about what you do and don’t like and state your preferences;
- you talk about family and relationships;
- ask what time it is and describe your daily schedule;
- order food and drinks at a restaurant or café;
- ask for directions and understand simple instructions;
- you talk about events from the past.
In this course, you will work toward language level A1. By the end, you will speak Spanish with greater confidence in everyday situations, understand simple conversations better, and feel more comfortable responding. After completing this course, you can continue with Spanish Course 3 (A1-A2).
DELE Exam
Do you want to live, work, or study in Spain? After completing Spanish Course 2 or 3, you can take the DELE exam at the A1 level, depending on your language proficiency. The DELE exam is an official, internationally recognized certificate issued by the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sport. You take the exam itself at an accredited testing center. Our teachers can advise you on your language level, how to prepare, and which institute to register with.

Approach
You work alternately in pairs, small groups and classrooms. The language of instruction is Spanish, so you will quickly become familiar with the language and become more confident in conversations. Of course, the teacher can also give instructions and answer questions in Dutch.
Teaching Materials
You will work with the book Aula Internacional 1, a widely used method for learning Spanish. During the course, the book will be supplemented with additional assignments and exercises. For self-study you will receive teaching materials and assignments, which will be discussed during the meetings. Before the start of the course we will inform you how you can easily order the teaching materials so that you can start your lessons well prepared.
Teachers
You will be taught by an experienced teacher who will guide you step by step. You will receive targeted feedback on pronunciation, word usage and communication. The teacher provides a safe and stimulating learning environment in which you dare to practice and make visible progress.
Certificate of Participation
You will receive a certificate of participation from us if you have actively participated in at least 80% of the meetings.
