Babel: head and heart

Curious about what it’s really like here? Below, our colleagues share their experiences. This will give you a sense of our work, how we collaborate, and the impact you’ll have here; both on yourself and on others.

What I appreciate most is the opportunity to make a profound impact. Whether that’s by winning a major contract or by completing a successful training session that participants genuinely enjoyed and learned from. And, of course, the team at Babel: we support one another and grow together. That sense of community is what makes Babel such a special place.

For the past 25 years, I have greatly enjoyed teaching NT2 students at Babel. This group is motivated, eager to learn, and interested in the Netherlands, the Dutch language, and one another. In addition, the beautiful, historic building in the city center and the Friday afternoon drinks contribute to my job satisfaction.

Over the years, I’ve been able to increasingly demonstrate who I am and what my strengths are. This has led to a more creative and collaborative role within the organization. I think about how we can use technology and how we can uphold our core values as we continue to grow and evolve.
