Italian 5 course (A1+ → A1++)
With this Italian course you will work toward language level A1++. You practice conversation, reading and writing so that you become increasingly fluent and confident in expressing yourself in Italian.
About the Italian 5 course
Do you already have a solid foundation in Italian and want to build on it? In this course, you’ll practice reading longer articles, finding specific information, and using complex sentence structures. This will help you express yourself with greater confidence and make everyday conversations easier.
In 9 lessons of Italian 5:
- you’ll speak Italian more fluently in simple conversations;
- you can grasp the main idea of longer Italian articles;
- you can find more specific information in written texts;
- you will learn the polite form of the imperative;
- you talk about the past using the past simple tense;
- you’ll find it easier to talk about future events and plans.
In this course, you’ll advance to level A1++. You’ll learn to talk about the past and the future by actively working with different tenses. By the end of the course, you’ll have a solid foundation that you can build on with Italian Course 6 (A1++ → A2-).

Approach
You will practice grammar, reading, speaking and writing during the lessons under the guidance of an experienced teacher. You regularly work in pairs, giving feedback on each other’s work and learning from other students. This makes the lessons active, personal and effective.
Teaching Materials
You work with ‘Allegro nuovo 2’ (workbook and textbook), supplemented with assignments from the lessons. The course material is clear and comprehensive and helps you to apply new grammar and language skills immediately in practical situations. Before the start of the course we will inform you how you can easily order the lesson materials, so that you can start your lesson well prepared.
Teachers
You will be taught by an experienced teacher who will guide you in developing your language skills. You receive feedback on your speaking and writing skills and practice in a safe environment in which you dare to use Italian more confidently.
Certificate of Participation
You will receive a certificate of participation from us if you have actively participated in at least 80% of the meetings.
