With this beginner’s course you will take your first step into Italian. You practice with simple conversations and grammar. This way you will learn the basics of the language.
About the Italian 1 course for beginners
Would you like to discover the beautiful Italian language? In this Italian course for beginners, you’ll learn basic grammar, build your vocabulary, and learn to read and speak in everyday situations. This will help you lay a solid foundation and feel more confident while studying, traveling, or working.
In 9 lessons of Italian 1:
- have a short conversation in Italian;
- you read simple Italian texts;
- you practice speaking in everyday situations;
- conjugate your verbs correctly;
- you’ll learn how to greet others;
- work on your Italian pronunciation;
In this course, you’ll work toward language level A1–. By the end, you’ll be able to introduce yourself in Italian, have short conversations, and better understand simple texts. If you’ve caught the bug, continue with Italian Course 2 (A1– → A1-).

Approach
During the lessons you will practice the exercises from the book under the guidance of an experienced teacher. You regularly work in pairs so that you are actively speaking, getting feedback and also learning from other students.
Teaching Materials
You work with “Allegro nuovo 1” (work and textbook). With it you practice step by step with basic grammar, vocabulary and practical situations, so that you can use what you learn immediately. Before the start of the course, we will inform you how you can easily order the teaching materials so that you can start your lesson well prepared.
Teachers
You will be taught by an experienced teacher who is attentive to your learning goals and development. You will receive targeted feedback on your pronunciation, grammar and language usage. You will also gain insight into Italian culture and customs, so that the language really comes to life.
Certificate of Participation
You will receive a certificate of participation from us if you have actively participated in at least 80% of the meetings.
