French 5 course (A2 → A2+)
This French course will raise your language skills to A2+ level. You practice conversations, discussions and presentations and expand your vocabulary. This will help you communicate more confidently in French.
About the French 5 course
Do you already have a solid foundation in French and want to build on it? In this French course, you’ll discuss current events, read articles, and practice conversations and discussions. You’ll also delve into French culture, history, and music. This will help you expand your vocabulary and boost your confidence, making it easier to communicate with French speakers on a variety of topics.
In 9 lessons of French 5:
- you’ll speak French with more confidence in conversations and discussions;
- you’ll expand your vocabulary with current and cultural topics;
- improve your listening skills with authentic French;
- you can read and understand articles from newspapers and magazines;
- present a topic that interests you in French;
- You respond appropriately to the opinions and ideas of others.
In this course, you’ll work toward language level A2+. By the end, you’ll speak French more fluently and respond more easily in conversations. Take your French even further with the follow-up course, French 6 (A2+ → B1).

Approach
Each lesson starts with a brief review of the previous lesson and space for questions. Then you work alternately in class, in groups or individually on interactive assignments. In the lessons you speak French as much as possible, so you make faster progress and gain confidence.
Teaching Materials
You work with the book “Édito B1” (work and textbook). This book contains texts, listening excerpts, grammar exercises and speaking assignments. The material helps you to apply French actively in conversations and discussions and increases your language skills step by step. Before the start of the course, we will inform you how you can easily order the teaching materials so that you can start your lessons well prepared.
Teachers
You will be taught by an experienced teacher who will guide you step by step as you learn French. The teacher provides targeted feedback on your pronunciation, grammar and communication. In addition, you will gain insight into French culture, customs and language usage so that the language really comes alive.
Certificate of Participation
You will receive a certificate of participation from us if you have actively participated in at least 80% of the meetings.
