With this French language course you will improve your speaking skills, pronunciation and vocabulary. You will practice conversations and better understand simple French texts. You will work towards A1+ level.
About the French 2 course
Would you like to build on your basic knowledge of French and speak with greater confidence with French speakers? In this French language course, you’ll work on your listening and reading skills. You’ll practice having conversations and learn to better understand simple texts. This will make it easier for you to express yourself and feel more confident when speaking French while traveling, studying, or in everyday life.
In 9 French lessons:
- you’ll be able to understand simple French texts better;
- answer questions about short written and spoken texts;
- improve your pronunciation and speaking skills;
- you’ll continue to expand your French vocabulary;
- you’ll gain a better understanding of the French language and culture;
- you’ll be able to have simple conversations in French with greater confidence.
In this course, you will work toward reaching the A1+ language level. By the end of the course, you will be able to have simple conversations, understand the grammar, and express yourself in French with greater confidence. After completing this course, you can move on to French Course 3 (A1+ → A2-).

Approach
Each lesson starts with a brief review of the previous lesson and space for questions. Then you work alternately in class, in groups or individually on interactive assignments. You practice a lot with listening and reading, so that you learn to understand French speakers better and understand simple texts.
Teaching Materials
You work with the book “Édito A1” (work and textbook). This method contains audio fragments, reading texts, speaking and pronunciation exercises and grammar. The material helps you build up the language step by step and apply it directly in conversations. Before the start of the course, we will inform you how you can easily order the learning materials so that you can start your lesson well prepared.
Teachers
You will be taught by an experienced teacher who will guide you step by step as you learn French. The teacher provides targeted feedback on your pronunciation, grammar and communication. In addition, you will gain insight into French culture, customs and language usage so that the language really comes alive.
Certificate of Participation
You will receive a certificate of participation from us if you have actively participated in at least 80% of the meetings.
