German 2 course (A2 → A2+)

In the German Level 2 course, we take a deeper look at your German vocabulary, grammar and conversation skills. Ideal for a German-language study or when communicating with German-speaking business contacts. In addition, as in the German level 1 course, we also cover German culture.

This course follows on German level 1, but can also be taken separately if you have A2 level. Not sure what your language level is? Then take our free placement test.

In the German level 2 course you work towards language level A2+.

After completing this course:

• you are able to express yourself well in German
• you can read and write German texts at A2 level more easily
• and are you ready for the German level 3 language course.

• The teacher will speak German as much as possible. Participants can ask questions in German or in Dutch.
• You can order the necessary books for this course via our website’s Order Books page. The method contains a lot of (extra) online learning material, including listening exercises. You should make sure to have the book before the start of the first lesson.
• You will receive a certificate if you attend at least 8 of the 9 classes.

• German 2 consists of 9 sessions of 1,5 hours at Babel in Utrecht or in the virtual classroom.
• To ensure that you learn as much as possible from the classes, you should expect to spend approximately 2 to 3 hours per week on study and the completion of materials and assignments, which will be discussed during the classes.

• The teaching method we use in this course has been specially developed for adult learners. In addition, it contains additional online exercises that allow you to practise with the lesson material.
• Each lesson starts with discussing and briefly reviewing the previous meeting. After that you will work alternately in class, in groups or individually on interactive assignments. During the lessons, you will regularly practise your conversational skills in pairs.
